Morse BeaconPrivacy Policy
1. Data you enter
Text you type for Morse transmission is processed locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your messages. Message text is not uploaded to us. Premium users may keep recent messages in local history on the device only.
2. Camera flash
The app uses your device's camera flash (torch/LED) to output Morse code signals. The app does not access the camera preview, capture photos, or record video. No images or video are stored or transmitted by Morse Beacon.
3. Settings and learn progress
Preferences (speed, timing, display options), learn-mode statistics, custom phrases (Premium), and local history are stored with on-device storage (SharedPreferences). This information is not transmitted to our servers.
4. Advertising (free tier only)
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC): banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads (approximately every 90 seconds while the app is idle — never while the LED is actively transmitting Morse).
Google and its partners may collect and process data such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads, subject to Google's policies. See Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & privacy.
Premium (monthly subscription morse_beacon_premium,
or optional Lifetime) removes all ads. When Premium is active, the app does not
load AdMob ad units for that session.
5. Purchases
Premium is sold via Google Play Billing (subscription and/or one-time Lifetime). We do not receive your payment card details. Google processes purchase-related information under its privacy policy. Entitlement status may be stored locally and revalidated with Google Play (including when a subscription ends, so ads can return).
6. Internet access
Free tier requires network access for ads. The app may also open external links (this policy, terms, support email) when you choose to tap them. Core Morse flash and learn features work offline once the app is installed; ads and store purchases require connectivity.
7. Analytics
Morse Beacon does not include a separate analytics product (for example, we do not ship Firebase Analytics for usage tracking of your Morse content). Advertising partners may collect their own measurement data as described above on the free tier.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The free tier contains ads that are not intended for a child-directed experience under Families policies.
9. Your choices
- Use free with ads, or subscribe to Premium / buy Lifetime to remove ads
- Cancel monthly Premium anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions
- Adjust device advertising preferences / reset advertising ID in Android settings
- Uninstall the app to remove local settings, history, and learn progress

10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
